Dave Neiman, Danmer Custom Shutters
After 30 years serving the retail market, Danmer Custom Shutters, Inc, has grown to become the largest retail custom shutter company in California. Originally, they carried several product lines, including; Woven Woods Blinds, Verticals, Mini-blinds, Draperies, Wood Blinds, and Shutters.

It wasn't long before Dave Neiman found that he preferred shutters over all the other product lines. They still offered a variety of Interior Window Treatments, but Shutter sales proved to be the most lucrative. After a few years, they closed all their retail showrooms and switched to an in-home sales approach. They also moved into a larger production facility to exclusively concentrate on manufacturing shutters.

In an effort to cut manufacturing costs, and with a concern for the environment and the sustainability of our forests, Danmer developed a wood-louver substitute in the 1980's. This led to an entire line of pre-finished synthetic shutter components which have come to be known as Thermalite. Thermalite is one of the industry's longest proven and most successful synthetic shutter products.

Danmer Custom Shutters currently operates out of several facilities consisting of approximately 100,000 sq. ft of office and production space.

Danmer's retail sales volume continues to grow year over year. It now also has a number of Thermalite^TM fabricator partners and wholesale distributors located around the world. Danmer shares with these fabricators a proven system for running a profitable retail shutter business. Danmer will continue to serve the high-quality custom shutter market for years to come.
